My critiques

I offer free critiques of novel extracts and short stories (<2,500 words) on my Podcast ‘Red Pen’ Episodes page.

I also review short stories (<2,500 words) on this blog’s Short Story Saturdays page.

For longer pieces, I charge the competitive rate of £4 (€5 / US$6 / AS$6) per 1,000 words, providing “firm but fair” feedback (the first 2,000 words free as an example) which will include grammar, punctuation, story structure, character depth, narrative drive… the whole shebang.

Note: I am English so will edit based on UK English rather than US English although correct US spellings will remain unaltered.

For a less-detailed purely proof-reading service I charge £2 (€2.50 / US$3 / AS$3) per 1,000 words, again the first 2,000 words free as an example.
