    Great interview. It’s wonderful to hear of writers having success in the short story market (especially in my native tongue… horror, that is). I know that magazines are a dying art, but perhaps e-publishing can revive them somehow and bring short stories back to the public eye.

    I also like your suggestion about switching points of view. Many writers have done this, but one that really jumps to mind is Cormac McCarthy’s “No Country for Old Men.” In my opinion, having the first person chapters really helped justify the Sheriff’s decision at the end (something that I think was lost in the movie version).
