    Oh Denise, you made me laugh with the story about the “trains hadn’t been invented” comment. I had a similar experience with Under A Texas Star – I was told that it wasn’t believable that a girl would masquerade as a boy. Forget the rest of history, there were several famous cases in the American Civil War – 10 years before the time of my story.
