  1. Sheryl Browne says:

It wasn’t my fault! Can I help it if Kim came up with a fantastic idea to write romantic comedy around fab recipes, and was then so enthusiastic, as well as fun and professional to work with, my writing just flowed? Seriously, working with Kim on Recipes for Disaster was a real pleasure. Kim is easy to work with in so much as she is very clear and concise. We seemed to be on the same wavelength, which is probably the best place to be if you are trying to get a book out there. Publisher and author working together is a kind of partnership, after all. You both have that interest in common – and you have both put an awful lot of work into the project. When Safkhet offered me a contract for my other projects I couldn’t have been more thrilled. My babies are now in safe hands, preparing to take their first steps into the world – and I can breathe a sigh of relief and get on with doing what I love: writing/edits (it’s all part of the process for me). My work has always had the benefit of ‘another pair of editorial eyes’. Even so, I know it will need more tweaking and the odd re-write. No problem. I reall do love the whole process and I trust Safkhet implicitly. Have you seen the cover for Somebody to Love?!! It is beeaauuufitul! I don’t think I can post it in here, but will be splashing about shortly (now I’m up and about after a bit of minor surgery). Oh, and I’ve made a movie of Recipes for Disaster. 🙂 Watch this space! THANK YOU, Kim and Will and all at Safkhet Publishing! And thank you, Morgen, for another fun interview. 🙂
