Obviously judging stories is a subjective process. I feel the second-placed story barely fulfils the remit as it only mentions Easter in the last line. That, to my mind, is hardly in the spirit of the theme, even if it IS in the rules. The same story could be adapted to read ‘Christmas’ or Birthday’ at a later date. On the plus side, the other two stories were good.
