Yes, April has been and gone. A weird time and a step toward normality and another lighter hour in the evenings.
My free 100-word competition
The theme for May is ‘may or may not’, however it takes you. For details, please take a look at the 100-word comp page. It’s a free competition and you can win free …Editing and Critique or my Creative Writing Online Courses. The page also lists the upcoming themes for the next few months so you can write them whenever you like but don’t submit early as they’ll be disqualified. Good luck.
BeaconLit 500-word competition
May’s theme is ‘it’s in the stars’, again to be used in any way you would like within the 500-word maximum. Rules, prizes, entry form etc. via https://beaconlitblog.wordpress.com/500-word-competition. Entry is just £3 per story and you can enter as many times as you like. This is the last month in this competition, with the top three stories (from three different authors) from each month going through to the shortlist (of 27 entries), from which a final ten are picked who share the prize pot worth over £500! With everything going on, we’re still hoping to bring you the festival but should it not take place then the results will be announced, and top 3 stories published as planned, on the BeaconLit websites.
