Enter while you can!

Morning everyone.

I’ve taken the decision to close my 100-word competition at the end of this year to concentrate on my writing, which you’ll know from my Word Count Wednesdays is fairly pitiful (in quantity only, I hope!).

If you’ve never entered the competition, do give it a go. You could win one or more of my online courses and/or editing. https://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/100-word-free-monthly…

Prizes will be valid until the end of February 2022 so plenty of time if you’ve won something already.

That’s a shame, I’ll miss it! Having said that I did wonder how you found the energy to complete all those edit & critique prizes. Thank you for the gift of the time you spent running this competition. I’ve appreciated the practice and motivation it gave me to learn more about micro fiction.

It’s been fun, Morgen. Thank you for the opportunity to submit these stories. They will be a huge miss. All the best for the future. 😁

Thank you, Jane, Paul. I’ve very much enjoyed reading all the entries but come to the point, as I often do, where something has to give. With the prospect of having to sell my mum’s house (she’s going into a home) and mine (moving nearer the coast), I’ve had to think ahead.

I have loved your 100-word challenge also. I haven’t always had time to enter, but was encouraged by your responses when I did. It sounds like you have big changes happening in your life in the future. May I wish you and your mother well with the moves. You have been so busy, and like Jane, I wondered how you fitted it all in. Wishing you the very best always.

I’m going to miss your challenges. Many a time you have lifted me from imposter syndrome and set me back on the right path. Time for a new challenge for you instead, all the best for the moving and future working and of course word counts.

Goodbye Morgen with an E in 100 words

Oh Morgen! What a loss to us all. I haven’t been entering recently, just too much to do and no writing thinking time! Oh well, that’s my story. I shall miss this so much – I don’t suppose you know of anyone who’d want to take it over? Buy it from you? I have learnt so much in all sorts of way and so enjoyed reading the winners you published monthly. Best wishes for your future, your writing and your judging. Okay, I will try one last thing. Maybe you will miss us so much you will start up again?
