Word Count Wednesday 22 Sep

Good morning. Yes, it’s that time of the week again. How have you been getting on?

I’ve been bad (busy) again and have written a mere 323 words this past week (last Wednesday to last night, actually all Monday morning). Mornings are definitely best for me but it’s a bit of a juggle to find a chunk of time. My monologues are a good distraction. Hopefully I’ll get back to the collaborative project when non-work complications ease.

Do leave a comment below to share your progress, successes and otherwise, and of course anything else that’s happened to you, writing wise, over the past seven days.

Oh good luck, Joy. I’ve found speaking slowly with pauses for the audience to digest something with impact helps calm the nerves. I also used to get very warm (self-conscious) so I’d wear a thinner top than I would normally. I hope it goes really well.

This is a great idea Morgen, to regularly post your word count. I think, if I included blog posts, it would be better, but actual novel words this week = 0. It’s a comfort to know that you don’t always write a huge amount.
To be fair, I’ve been away for a week so have loads of blog ideas in my head. Also, as always happens at this point, I reached a plot puzzle in my next novel that needs untangling.
And, I am starting a new venture. And am editing a friends book. Making excuses really. Ha.

Thank you, suznic. There’s always so much to do, isn’t there, but last night proved to myself how much I can actually write if given even a small amount of time. New ideas tend to rattle out quicker as there’s no going over what I’ve written to-date. Maybe I should write a new start every week. 🙂
