Good morning. Yes, it’s that time of the week again. How have you been getting on?
Yesterday morning I was hoping for, yet not expecting, some words. It was deadline day and I was up against the proverbial. 9.08pm and I email the novel back to its author, leaving me just under three hours (I’ve become accustomed to going to bed the day after I get up) to do some writing.
Of course I haven’t been working solidly since the previous Wednesday but they roll around too quickly, despite me thinking I have masses of time the few days leading up to them. So here we are, at the latest one.
I’ve shelved – definitely only for now – the collaboration project until G and I work out a vague (more than we have now, not difficult) plan of where the novel’s going and he’s able to do the male half. Rather than return to any existing pieces I decided to start an idea that had popped into my brain at the weekend while walking my dog, as they do. The result being 1,045 words with an idea of where it’s going so that’s good.
Do leave a comment below to share your progress, successes and otherwise, and of course anything else that’s happened to you, writing wise, over the past seven days.
