End of an era

My 100-word competition has now closed. Thank you to everyone who entered. I have some stories/extracts in for editing and was hoping to get them done over the festivities but it turned out to be a busy few days. I should be able to on Monday/Tuesday but please bear with me if I get them back to you a little later than that. My best wishes to everyone for 2022. The Word Count Wednesdays will continue, as well as other updates, and I’m hoping to resume my newsletter in the not-too-distant future. If you’ve signed up already I may owe you a free book – again this will be with you in the next little while. Thank you for your patience.

    Congratulations 🥳 I👏🎉🍾
What a mammoth service you have provided to us all. Thank you so much for all your help and support to me as a new writer. It is sad to have this generous challenge to end, but it is a good time NY to move on to new things and finishing the unfinished. Your kindness is appreciated greatly. All the best of wishes to you
    Isabel

Oh how lovely. Thank you, Isabel. It’s been fun but…
I’m delighted to have helped so many people over the years. I still will for as long as the grey cells store all the information I’ve gleaned. 🙂

I wish I had found you sooner!! I was struggling with finishing the short stories and novel I was writing. I never thought I would be able to write flash fiction but found the courage when I discovered the 100-word Competition. It was definitely a challenge at first, but as I progressed I really started to enjoy writing again. Entering the competition proved to me I can actually finish something!!
Thank you so much and good luck with your future endeavors.

Ah, thank you, Julie. While you won’t have the deadlines, the other prompts are on the competition page – which will stay live so the stories can be read for as long as the site is (or I am) live – so you’re welcome to use those as inspiration hereafter.
