Word Count Wednesday: 9 Nov 2022

Good morning. Yes, it’s that time of the week again. How have you been getting on?

Second week of NaNoWriMo and I’m greeting you from Iceland! (No, not the frozen foods supermarket.) I did okay with #NaNoWriMo the first couple of days (3,535 words) but had done nothing since; meeting work deadlines before heading off on holiday until last night while OH was reading. I then managed another 706 words so 4,241 for the week which is okay. I’m home (away) alone at the weekend while OH is at a conference so hopeful of catching up somewhat. It’ll be a mere 19,097 words behind. Mmm…

Do leave a comment below to share your progress, successes and otherwise, and of course anything else that’s happened to you, writing related, over the past seven days.

Ooer – after a stellar last week, I’ve not got very far beyond some research for my next blog post.
Life got in the way, but I’ve had a lovely week meeting friends and exploring the beautiful Croatian hill town of Motovun – then a couple of heavy driving days crossing from Croatia, through Slovenia to the Italian Alps.
I need to galvanise myself now, since the final manucript for my next book is due at the formatters in less than a week.
Enjoy Iceland! I am so jealous – I have always wanted to go there. Everyone I know who’s been raves about it!

We have better and not so good weeks, don’t we. Your adventure sounds eventful and I’m sure very picturesque. Having a tight deadline sounds daunting so I shall keep everything crossed for you. It’s only our first full day but we’ve already done a fair amount of walking and did a ‘fly over Iceland’ tour which was incredible.
