Good morning. Yes, it’s that time of the week again. How have you been getting on?
The day after returning from Iceland. What an amazing place. I was able to do some writing on Saturday when OH was in a conference. I was 19k behind so I needed to catch up and managed 6,980 words over the week, better than I thought given we were on holiday.
So I’m now 15,000 words behind but back at the helm though so should be able to get cracking in amongst work. I’m also clearing my mother’s house before it exchanges/completes (an end of an era) but have two new books on the go (with vague plots) so that will help.
Do leave a comment below to share your progress, successes and otherwise, and of course anything else that’s happened to you, writing related, over the past seven days.
So jealous of your trip to Iceland. I’m sure it was worth the 19k deficit…
I’ve not had much progress forward this week. I have done a serious edit on my upcoming release following beta feedback. I have almost completely re-written some sections.
I could have done without Amazon having a mad half hour. They removed my skiing book from the skiing category because they said it was ‘inappropriate’ and in breach of their terms. They threatened to suspend my account if any of my other books were in inappropriate categories. I contacted them via the means they suggested, only to be told it was nothing to do with them. I spent a full day checking the categories for all my books and did find some weird and wonderful ones had been added without my knowledge, so I am trying to sort that out too. All in the day’s work for an author!
As relaxation, I have been composing answers to an author interview that will go live in early December.

How incredibly frustrating. Left and right hands not talking to each other, by the sound of it. Yes, Iceland was fabulous and we’re definitely going back at some point. Our first ever overseas holiday together – we were too poor in our twenties. I’m still catching up (work and final push to get my mother’s house empty) but hopeful of something for Wednesday.

Yes – I think Iceland comes in at the more expensive end, but everyone I know who’s been there has raved about it, so I’m not surprised you want to go back!
Have a great week.
