Hello. Finally (after thirteen years of studying the craft, writing, teaching, speaking etc.), I’m taking my writing more seriously.
I’ve just finished writing the follow up to The Serial Dater’s Shopping List, The Serial Dieter’s Shopping List, this time with Izzy’s sidekick, Donna, at the helm, and set in Hemel Hempstead and Tring (Hertfordshire) rather than Northampton, although Izzy, Hunky Dunky and other characters will make an appearance in this one.
I’m also writing a couple of standalone crime novels, and two other women’s fiction (standalone) novels, so will be cracking on with those.
I also have a couple of novels finished (both crime: one a comic dog detective, the other more serious but with some light touches) and I’d love feedback on these as well as my new / ongoing writing. I also write short stories, some really short.
So, if you’d like to be one of my beta readers, all I ask is that you could return your feedback to me within three weeks (novels) or a week (short stories). As well as getting to read my writing before anyone else (probably), and my wholehearted gratitude, I’d include you in the acknowledgements once the relevant book is published (whether that’s self- or traditionally published) and I may even name one of my characters after you. :).
The level of feedback is entirely up to you. Saying what didn’t work would be more useful than just saying you enjoyed it, although that would be great too if you did.
