A while ago I set up Morgen Bailey Daily e-newspaper on paper.li. I then discovered Scoop.it because someone had picked up one of my blog posts. So I’m on them both now. They’re purely writing-related so if you’d like something to go with your coffee do click on the links below.
http://paper.li/morgenwriteruk/1318769216 (daily format, automatically updated)
http://www.scoop.it/t/morgen-bailey-daily (rolling format only)
They’re also both easy to set up. Register for free, put in a profile and with paper.li once you’ve said what sort of things you’re looking for (e.g. keywords such as writing, novels, literature, short stories, fiction, etc) it’ll just appear (and email you to say it’s live) every day… usually around the time you set it up so don’t create it around midnight as the link date may differ to the paper’s date! You can also go on to any of the paper.li eNewspapers and retweet from there. If there’s anything it’s picked up that you don’t want just click on the ‘x’ (you do have to be logged in to do that).
Also, you do have to have a Twitter account as both link to Twitter and the results they show are tweets and retweets from your followers and followees so the more of those you have the more choice there is for the papers to find.
Scoop is more time-consuming where the content has to be added manually but that in itself can be fun, just remember to add your paper’s home page to each ‘scoop-it’ so that it brings people back to you.
The easiest way rather than me explain the process is for you to take a look and give me a shout if I can help when it comes to creating your own.
